ABSTRACT:

Wireless Transmission of Electricity has always been an unattainable dream, however, engineers at INTEL and other research have recently proven that it can be practical.

With this newly discovered principles of the Wireless transmission of Electricity through short distances, we can create a modern system of transportation that allows electric vehicles to be propelled by the energy derived along our freeways, thus extending the range of these vehicles to suit all our current and future needs.  Placing these RESONANT ELECTRICAL COILS under the roadways, allows us to send sufficient electricity to cars and trucks running along these surfaces without the need for new battery technology.

Thus an electric car or truck using this system would be able to reach a freeway using its batteries and then have their batteries recharged while driving along the electrified freeways of the future, capable of traveling thousands of miles on a single charge.  Accidents and traffic jams would also be a thing of the past since all vehicles would be in a completely computer-controlled environment while traveling on the freeways.  This also means drivers would not have to pay attention to the road and would instead be able to read, get work done on their computers, or even take a nap.

SOLAR and WIND and other renewable energy sources can eventually be installed along these freeways to free our nation from its dependence on fossil fuels, thus reversing the effects of Global Warming.

Genesis of the Basic Concept

Nicola Tesla demonstrated this concept to the world over a century ago, though it was never practical and there was never as much need for it, so the concept died out, except in the memories of a few engineers.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY:

USING SOLAR Power and Wind power to produce the Electricity, these electric cars and trucks would help remove this nation from its dependence on foreign oil, thus improving the SECURITY OF THIS NATION as well as supporting a greater public health.  Helping American Auto Makers to produce Fully Electric Cars (Not Hybrids).  Adapting current Wireless Resonating Coil technologies to propel Electric Cars down the Diamond Lanes on American Freeways and later more lanes to take this nation COMPLETELY OFF of Foreign Oil in 5 years. 

ONE of the GREATEST SOURCES of the Planet’s Heating are the billions of miles of Electrical Transmission cables that give up half of their electricity in the form of heat. The second largest source of the Planet’s HEATING is from the GREENHOUSE gases produced by our ELECTRICAL GENERATING INDUSTRY and the Internal Combustion Engine and the heat of combustion in these engines.  By placing the ENERGY PRODUCTION for our Transportation needs along the freeways and powering them by Solar and Wind and other RENEWABLE FORMS of ENERGY we reduce this heat into the atmosphere by the most significant amounts that can be attained in single project.

By using the FREE and CLEAN Energy from the Sun in the most efficient manner by placing Solar Collection in IMMEDIATE PROXIMITY to where this power is needed most, to POWER OUR CARS and TRUCKS, this nation’s biggest single consumption of Power, we can achieve energy independence.  The power from the SUN is then Sent down the FREEWAYS helping EXPAND the MODERNIZATION OF THE GRID.  Technology innovators such as NanoSolar of San Jose and IBM have created new Solar Energy Technology already in production that could supply the country with enough Solar Energy to power all the electric cars and trucks produced as a result of our innovations.

To keep it simple, this conversion to SOLAR POWERED Wireless Resonating Coil Electric CARS and TRUCKS in this country would achieve 6 HIGHLY SIGNIFICANT GOALS for this nation WITH THE CREATION of MILLIONS OF HIGH-PAYING GREEN JOBS as the MOST PRIMARY GOAL.

1.  We would start to become free of Foreign Oil, more and more each year as more Fully Electric Vehicles were introduced to the Freeway System.  Eventually, in approximately 5 – 10 years we would be COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT on foreign OIL and even Domestic Oil Production would be sufficient to meet related product needs such as feed stock for PLASTICS and Pharmaceuticals for centuries.

2.  We would start the process of REVERSING GLOBAL WARMING, something that threatens all economies of the world and perhaps even the survival of our species.

3.  We would save approximately 3 Million Manufacturing JOBS in the United States as Automakers, both domestic and foreign are encouraged to produce cars and trucks that the people really need and want AND CAN AFFORD, instead of the dinosaurs that no one wants or needs today.  AND, create approximately 10 MILLION MORE NEW JOBS in the areas of software development, related research and development, new infrastructure construction, sales and marketing, education, engineering, construction, career-development, retraining and retooling, etc. Electric Vehicles are far cheaper to manufacture, have far few moving parts and things to go wrong and therefore would also cause the retraining of millions of companies and people who now make their living servicing the Gasoline Infrastructure, the oil companies would also have to retool to produce energy that competed with Solar, Wind, etc.

It is our feeling that this does not necessarily result in a net loss of jobs, but a HUGE NET GAIN because those who are currently trained in Gasoline Powered cars are now learning about very advanced computer controlled engines and pollution control systems.  When you think about this problem, it is far better for these skills to be re-directed into areas that do NOT counter-act the overall good of the economy.  In other words, to put our educational resources to work on the maintenance of gas engines and then to put these same resources to work on KEEPING THEM FROM POISONING US ALL are two counter-productive skill sets and part of the problem of our highly complex economy.  A more stable economy in the long run is one where the resources of the people are not in conflict, but instead harmonize and compliment all of our efforts.

WORKING at CROSS PURPOSES as we have done for decades RAISES the cost of living to UNSUPPORTABLE HEIGHTS from which there is always a tipping point as we are discovering today.

4.  We would turn this economic downturn into one of the BIGGEST BOOMS in history as more and more industries would reap the benefits of Clean and Cheap Transportation such as the Industrial Base, the Travel Industry and Tourist Industry.  Nearly every product has transportation as part of its costs of goods sold.  Electric Transportation powered by renewable energy would add ZERO COSTS to these items.

5.  We IMPROVE, MODERNIZE and UPDATE the NATIONAL ELECTRIC GRID in the most cost-effective and efficient way because the FREEWAYS of this COUNTRY will be used as the most DISTRIBUTIVE and REDUNDANT ENERGY GRID imaginable with RIGHT-OF-WAY and EASEMENT RIGHTS already granted and in place.  No major COST of development to ADD ELECTRIC INFRA-STRUCTURE to a grid of ROADS that already CRISS-CROSS the nation and impact the largest POPULATION GROUPS in the nation at very little distance.

6.  In short, the United States of America would become the leader and NUMBER ONE IN THE WORLD ECONOMIC system once again.  All other nations would want to emulate our new system of energy deployment and would be forced to buy or license our new technology from American Companies.

We can re-build our economy, but to do so at this point in history requires some bold thinking and major new technologies that do not pollute our planet and cost too much in terms of resources and working at CROSS PURPOSES.  We must all learn how to work harmoniously with the health of ourselves and our planet always at the fore. 

Other nations are far ahead of us in developing new technologies for transportation as seen in this picture.  With the success of this one INNOVATIVE technology, the USA can once again be the leader in technological advancement.

PROOF OF CONCEPT

With this nominal investment we will DEMONSTRATE on CITY STREETS a Demonstration Vehicle that will RUN COMPLETELY POWERED by the Wireless Resonating Coil Technology of the Future.  Embedding high powered electro-magnets in a pavement overlay, we will cause a vehicle capable of carrying 4 passengers along a city street at typical speeds of gas powered cars, without using a single battery or single drop of gas or any other fuel.  The car will be propelled along the track in the pavement PROPELLED ALONG BY WIRELESS TRANSMISSION OF ELECTRICITY through the pavement’s surface and into the electrical drive train of the vehicle in such a manner to demonstrate the practicality of this concept.  

We also feel that our concept is one of the best ways to reach the goals set by Al Gore in his Plan to be 100% INDEPENDENT of Foreign Oil in 10 Years and we are confident that OUR MODEL ONCE PROVEN will be quickly spread throughout the country and even by other nations as soon as they see how cost-effective our UNIQUE and PROPRIETARY solution is for the ENERGY and TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM of the FUTURE.

Mission and Goals

PROBLEM:  Congress and the Obama Administration has set the goal of doubling Renewable Energy production and modernizing the Electric Grid through the use of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. 

SOLUTION:  A Demonstration Project that will research and develop the New American Transportation System of using Wireless Resonating Coil Technology for the Freeways of this country and that will use 100% Renewable Energy and Fully Electric Vehicles that can utilize it.  Excess energy is used by the Grid.

This was produced by INTEL CORPORATION who will be invited to participate in the project.  There are several other companies and individuals, such as SIEMENS, MICHELIN, GM and others who have shown us the concept can work who will also be invited to participate.

PROPOSAL:

We will use these funds to build a DEMONSTRATION PROOF OF CONCEPT with which to attract private capital to build a larger PILOT PROJECT in a major US City.  Eventually connecting every city. 

BY REDISIGNING the DIAMOND LANES on our FREEWAYS with WIRELESSS RESONANT COIL SYSTEMS, EMBEDDED IN THE ROADWAYS SURFACE - FULLY ELECTRIC CARS and TRUCKS can travel UNLIMITED distances around the country without any need for batteries, slow re-charging cycles or a single drop of gasoline.  The American people have no desire to use traditional mass transit, therefore, personal Electric Transportation must be expanded and supported by our new ALL ELECTRIC POWERED infrastructure.

Wireless Resonating Coils, Solar Power, SuperCapacitors and Superconductivity represents best Technological Breakthroughs made in the last few years that hold the most promise to accomplish the goal of complete independence from Foreign or even domestic Fossil Fuels.

WITH this funded project, we will determine:

·        The best materials to use in the roadway to allow for maximum Electrical Flux Delivery to the Vehicles.

·        The best materials to use in the manufacture and installation of the Resonant Coils.

·        The most effective distance between the resonating coils for maximum efficiency of the overall system.

·        The size and placement of the coils in the roadway and in the vehicles for maximum efficiency.

• The best ways to connect superconductivity, and supercapacitor technology to the system for maximum overall electrical efficiency.

A Solar PANEL System of NEW THIN FILM TECHNOLOGY, or SOLAR CELL TECHNOLOGY or the current technology Solar Panels are installed above the FREEWAYS to generate the electrical requirements for millions of cars.  There is ENOUGH SOLAR ENERGY falling on the FREEWAYS of this nation in ONE HOUR to POWER THE ENTIRE COUNTRY FOR ONE MONTH, if we could gather it all.

At night, or during inclement weather, Energy is produced by Wind, Nuclear, Biofuels or other Renewables while demand that exceeds this capacity can be met with conventional Oil Powered Plants, but at much reduced levels.   Fossil fuels go to ZERO in a few years.  CURRENTLY more than HALF of all the ELECTRICITY PRODUCED IN THIS COUNTRY IS LOST IN TRANSMISSION and never powers a single light bulb or heats a home.  PUTTING THE world’s greatest FREE and CLEAN ENERGY SOURCE –SOLAR POWER – ABOVE the location where it is NEEDED THE MOST, there is ZERO ENERGY LOSS since the distance from the ENERGY SOURCE to THE HIGHEST DEMAND is only a few feet.

SOMEDAY SOLAR ENERGY PRODUCED ON THIN FILM will be collected alongside the ROADWAY so that THE TRANSMISSION DISTANCE is at a MINIMUM, thereby reducing loss of power over transmission lines to nearly ZERO since it will be delivered just a few feet away to cars and trucks that use electricity instead of gasoline.

THUS ELIMINATING OUR CURRENT ELECTRICAL LOSS OF OVER 50% from ELECTRICAL SOURCE TO USAGE DEMAND

THE FULLY ELECTRIC CAR of the FUTURE PROPELLED BY WIRELESS RESONANT ELECTRICITY TRANSMISSION SUCH AS THIS, is very INEXPENSIVE and CHEAP to PRODUCE.  Only minor IMPROVEMENTS in the vehicles themselves are necessary from time to time, thus the complete switchover of AUTO PRODUCTION to meet NEW MODEL YEARS every year is a thing of the past, saving the nation many thousands of GIGA-WATTS of energy in creating and supporting built-in obsolescence in our industries.

Regular Improvements in Technology is focused along the ROADWAYS, not the vehicles themselves, ALLOWING for MORE AND MORE EFFICIENCIES in Electricity COLLECTION and DISTRIBUTION to the nation’s fleet of vehicles which can remain virtually unchanged for centuries.  Electricity is the most efficient form of energy known to man.

Eventually as demand increases, ALL LANES of the ROADWAY are adapted as such and further increases in vehicle density is met by more efficiencies of scale.

One of the side advantages of this system is the DUAL MODE of TRANSPORTATION that has become a requirement of American Roads.  BOTH CARS and TRUCKS can be manufactured to these Wireless Resonating Coil Standards as they are deployed and improved.

ALLOWING vehicles to be charged as they drive means that OFF FREEWAY MILES are stretched as well.  Eventually, over time, however, all roads in the cities and towns are converted to this new Wireless Resonating Coil system.

Situation

Every day, commuters are TIED UP IN TERRIBLE TIME-WASTING TRAFFIC JAMS and the expense of filling their gas tanks, servicing their cars and trucks, insuring them etc. is EXPLODING OUT OF CONTROL, thus hampering the growth of our economy in major ways.

This concept once proven and widely adopted will eventually ELIMINATE ALL of these problems.  Under this type of Transportation System TRAFFIC CONTROL is an added side benefit wherein the Driver of any Electric Vehicle will be able to TURN HIS SEAT to a more comfortable position, IGNORE the ROAD, leave the driving to the onboard and freeway traffic control system and GET WORK DONE or BE ENTERTAINED as he/she drives to work. 

TRAFFIC CONGESTION is also a thing of the past as these same systems are able to control the speed and direction of every vehicle on the roadways and plan the average speed so that no congestion is ever tolerated.  People get to work in a completely relaxed mood and may even be able to FINISH PROJECTS on their way to or from the office, making the American worker even more productive.  Personal Car and Truck maintenance will also be greatly reduced, thus eliminating even more waste and improving the environment as we will not have to RECYCLE our oil or invest in more and more sophisticated EMISSIONS CONTROL.  We must move to an economy where there are no emissions from private vehicles at least.  At the rate that the developing world is adopting our bad habits it is only a matter of time when we are all suffocating from the BILLIONS of Car Exhaust TAILPIPES spewing forth more and more toxic gases into our atmosphere every day.  This trend MUST be REVERSED and SOON.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

• In 2008, according to the US Energy Information Agency shows that if current trends prevail, Renewable Energy will produce less than HALF that of NUCLEAR POWER - itself is only a tiny fraction of our total energy use - over the next 20 years.
• Even by the year 2020 Renewable Energy will account for 6.2% of total Energy Use in this country
• AND WORSE, by 2030 a full decade LATER, Renewable Energy will have grown to only 7.2% of total Energy Use in this country based on current trends.

We feel this is a PITIFULLY LOW and unacceptable TREND for our nation’s energy use.  It would mean that generations of Americans would be doomed to the same economic problems of balancing household budgets as we have today if current trends continue.  We want to impact the growth of Renewables so that Total Renewable Energy use will be at least 90% of total by 2020, We can achieve TOTAL ENERGY INDEPENDENCE by 2015, but only IF we get started NOW.

THE THREAT TO OUR NATIONAL SECURITY GROWS IF our current FOSSIL FUELS growth continues as more and more of our national wealth is exported to countries who EDUCATE THEIR CHILDREN TO HATE US.  AND there is growing evidence that we have reached the limits of unlimited growth and supply.

Once we convert a single CAR OR TRUCK to use Electricity we will Stimulate Other Innovations that are supportive of this Future Infrastructure that can change the world:

• Friends, neighbors, other commuters will ask how they are able to DRIVE a FULLY ELECTRIC CAR or TRUCK each day to work, NEVER HAVING TO USE A SINGLE GALLON of GASOLINE AGAIN - and soon more and more commuters in any given area will be converted to Free Solar Energy for their transportation. 

We believe that THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX, new thinking in terms of NEW INNOVATIVE INFRASTRUCTURE is the only way to attack the combined forces threatening this nation today.  This model would be the FIRST STEP in that direction. 

Therefore, our goal to impact potentially millions of commuters and eventually millions of homes and businesses to FREE and CLEAN SOLAR POWER over time is a realistic one and can be met with the necessary initial funding at this time.
